At Kingshay...
Following the long dry period, daily grass growth fell to 10kg DM/ha in early June, at Beard Hill. The rain was welcomed and the 32mm in 2-days has triggered grass growth to now reach 117kg DM/ha. This has allowed supplementary feeding to be reduced and a few paddocks to be taken temporarily out of the grazing rotation for silage.

The Recommended Grass and Clover Lists for England and Wales 2020/21 is enclosed. This booklet highlights the value of grass and clover, explains the types of key grasses and gives guidelines for choosing a mixture. Key performance factors of the recommended varieties in each category are listed.
Kingshay has been a long-term supporter of this variety testing and the results are incorporated alongside our own preferential grazing trials to develop our Kingshay Grass Seed Mixtures.
